This simply beautiful piece of embroidery was removed from a frame to reveal that it was strung onto a cardboard support with a First World War print ~ There’s Daddy!
The embroidery and the print have been together for all these years – Perhaps the piece was stitched as a love token until daddy’s return.
I have made a cushion using a light lilac linen piping and a grey/blue linen back – with zipper.
Wash carefully by hand with warm soap and water and spin.
Filled with virgin hollow fibre.
